With deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Bernard Gill, Jr., on November 23, 2022 at the age of 60. Bernard was born on July 6, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Bobbie Jean (Clark) Moore and Robert Gillion. He was raised by his parents and bonus parents William (Ed) Moore and Pairlee Gillion. Everyone that knew Bernard knew that he was an extremely kind, loving and gentle and peaceful person who loved his family so much. He was the most reliable husband, father, papa and friend. He will be missed by his wife of 25 years, Willie Mae Gill, his children Bryce (Jawaun) Battle, D’Neshia Mosley, Marquan (Dejia) Mosely and his grandchildren Cameron, Jayden, Nolan, Jesiah and Jacobi. He leaves to cherish his memories, siblings Tyrone (Andrea) Moore, and Michael (Melinda) Moore of Texas, Mark Gill of California, Jimmy(Cynthia) Gillion of Oklahoma, Barbara (Dontay) McGee, Stephen Gill and Edward Moore of Racine, Patricia Gillion, Ruby Maples, Janice Gillion, Wanda Caldwell, Mary (Bobby) Evans, Yolanda (Keith) Hill and Edward Caldwell all of Memphis, TN. He was further survived by a host of nieces, nephews and family members too numerous to mention by name.He was preceded in death by his parents Bobbie Moore and Robert Gillion, sisters Joyce Ann Gill, Barbara Gillion and Beatrice Gillion, brother Herbert Gillion, grandmother Nancy Clark and Aunt Helen Clark.
Funeral services to honor Bernard will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at New Omega Baptist Church, 5731 Northwestern Avenue, Racine, WI The family will receive guests on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be private for the family per Bernard’s wishes.
