Beatris H. Marroquin

Beatris H. Marroquin 82 formerly of Racine passed away on Sunday November 10, 2013 in Elmcroft of Windcrest in San Antonio, TX. She was born July 29, 1931 in Millett, TX the daughter of Jesus and Manuela, (nee: Martinez) Hernandez. She was married to Antonio V. Marroquin on June 6, 1948 in Los Angeles, CA. He passed away on July 8, 2004. A homemaker, Beatris was a loving wife and mother, a faithful member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Racine and St. Monica’s Parish on San Antonio.. Survivors include her children; Jesse (Malinda) Marroquin Sr., Carmel (Robert) Gonzalez, Teresa (Mark) Bova, and Matilda Oblein, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, a brother Dicidoro (Margie) Hernandez, and 3 sisters Emilia Lara, Martha (Israel) Rodriguez, and Juana (Richard) Guzman, and a sister-in-law Gloria Hernandez. Beatris is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Antonio, a daughter Lupe, 2 sons Roy and Antonio Jr. and 3 brothers Jesus, Frank and Noe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday November 18, 2013 at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1100 Erie St. Fr. Antony Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive guests in Strouf Funeral Home on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. with vigil service at 6:45 p.m. and also in church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the Mass. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick’s Parish in Beatris’ memory.;
