Anna V. Phillips 79 passed away Thursday June 5, 2014 in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1934 in Cookstown, NJ the daughter of Richard and Geneva Currington. Anna married the late Arthur Wendell LaVern Phillips in 1950 in Cookstown. She was employed with Ridgewood Health Care Center for many years and enjoyed flower gardening, especially violets, was an exceptional cook, and deeply loved and cared for her family. Anna leaves behind her children Richard, Alexander, and Geneva Phillips, 2 sisters Arlene Parrish and Marty Justice, 8 grandchildren; Arthur, Anna, Alexander, Stephanie, Cameron, Mya, Becky, and Kristina, 5 great grandchildren; Jasmine, Ebony, Nakia, Cameron Jr., and CeAnna, 2 great great grandchildren; Julian and Dallas, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother John Currington, and 2 sisters; Gracie DeMark, and Polly Diggins. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday June 13, 2014 in Strouf Funeral Home, Reverend Roy Carter officiating.
