Anna M. Raya 58 passed away Thursday afternoon November 12, 2015 in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born March 30, 1957 in Racine, the daughter of Jesus and Carmen (nee: Martinez) Herrera. Anna had been employed in the deli at Piggly Wiggley and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Anna was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading and sewing and watching the series, “The Walking Dead”. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them. She will be deeply missed by them and all who knew her.

She is survived by her parents Jesus and Carmen, a son Alfredo Raya, three daughters Corrine Ramirez, Angelica (Zeena Davis) Raya, and Veronica Raya, 14 grandchildren; Jesse, James, Maximiana, Gavino, Maria-Selena, Margarita, Santiana, Alize, Enrique, Noelia, Yalena, Angel, Eliana, and Ayden, 6 great grandchildren Miles, Vincent, Gyavanna, Salius, Adrian, and Aiden, 2 brothers; Jesse Herrera, and David (Santina) Herrera, and 3 sisters; Yolanda (Chon) Mendez, Susana Herrera, and Angelita (Greg) Melby. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Anna was preceded in death by her son Santiago Herrera, and a brother Alfredo Herrera.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday November 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church 1100 Erie St., Fr. Antony Thomas officiating. The family will greet guests on Friday in Church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
