Anna M. Ortiz 90 passed away on Monday evening November 18, 2013 in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born July 26, 1923 in Havelock, NE the daughter of Mariano and Jesus (nee: Torres) Coloris. Anna married Miguel Ortiz on August 26, 1946 in Racine. He passed away on June 19, 2003. A homemaker Anna also worked at the Spinning Wheel Restaurant for 42 years and also for Good Will Industries. She was a long time member of St. Lucy’s Parish, and enjoyed cooking and sewing, and visiting Casinos and playing Bingo. A loving wife mother and grandmother, Anna will be sadly missed by her three children; Michael (Mary Lou) Ortiz, Joseph (Sylvia) Ortiz, and Caroline (Ramon R.) Rios, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Miguel, a sister Victoria Marcelino, and 5 brothers Peter, Manuel, Lupe, Tony and Ysidro. Mass of Christian Burial will be be Friday November 22, 2013 in St. Lucy’s Catholic Church 3035 Drexel Ave., Fr. Mark Jone officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery on Hwy. 32. The family will receive guests in church on Friday from 9:30 am until time of Mass. Deep appreciation to the the doctors and nurses of both the emergency room and the ICU of Wheaton Franciscan and the hospital Chaplains for their kind and compassionate care of Anna during her last days;
