Alicia Bernal Martinez, 77, of Racine, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2021 at Ascension All Saints Hospital. She was born on April 30, 1944 in Cotulla, Texas. Born the daughter of Jose and Maria (NEE: Cruz) Bernal Sr. Alicia married Raymond Martinez in August of 1963 in Racine, Wisconsin. Alicia worked for ACMI as an assembly factory worker. She was very creative; she enjoyed doing crafts, making pinatas, and hair bows. She was a jack of all trades when it came to crafts; she loved to sew. She also liked to play cards and bingo. More than anything, she cherished her family and the time they spent together. Alicia will be deeply missed by her husband Raymond and daughter Mary (Esther) Sanchez. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Alyssa and Veronica, and great-grandchildren Kristeena, Delilah, Araceli, Arturo, and Osvaldo, and dearly loved by her in-laws. She is survived by 2 sisters Soledad, and Yolanda, and 2 brothers Benito, and Jose Jr. She is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Alicia is preceded in death by her parents Jose and Maria, brothers Javier and Baldemore. Funeral Services for Alicia will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Strouf Funeral Home at 12 p.m. The family will receive guests on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 11 a.m. until the time of service.Those you would like to view Alicia, will have to do so before 11:45 a.m. The casket will be closed just prior to her funeral service starting. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
