Alan M. Bobholz, 74, passed away Saturday afternoon October 24, 2015 at home, surrounded by family, after an extended illness. He was born April 28, 1941 in Waterloo, WI, the son of Merton and Mabel (Nee. Myhre) Bobholz. Al was united in marriage to Beverly Fink on December 3, 1977 in Fort Atkinson. He was employed as a designer for many years with Thomas Industries. Al was a long time volunteer with the East Troy Electric Railroad Museum, and a past member of the Dairyland Theater Organ Society. Al enjoyed model railroading, and music, constructing violins and guitars in the past.

He will be deeply missed by family; including his loving wife Beverly, son Jeffrey Carl (Vicki) Bakken, daughter Brenda (Shawn) Eckhardt, 4 grandchildren; Brandon and Braedon Bakken, and Lucas and Skylar Eckhardt, and a brother Robert (Lucy) Bobholz. Al is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends, especially Andrew C. Witkowski, Susan Schmidt, and the family funeral director, Michael D. Meier. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three children Jeffrey Alan, Dean and Trisha.

A Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving celebrating Al’s life will be held Sunday November 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church W1956 Main St. Sullivan (Rome), WI, Reverend Michael Mannisto officiating. Guests will be received in the church fellowship hall following the service. Beverly and her family wish to thank Rainbow Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Al during his final days.
