Elsie Mae Parker

Elsie Mae Parker 89 passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning March 6, 2013 in Lincoln Village Care Center. She was born March 16, 1923 in Minters, AL the daughter of the late Ned and Mary Brown. Elsie loved cooking and gardening. She made sure anyone entering her home was fed. She made the best sweet potato pie, ever! Elsie was a strong believer in the Lord and read her bible everyday. Survivors include her children; Willie Mills, Nettie Mae (Julius) Bolton, Charles, James (Alice), Mary Ann, Eddie, and Lawonda Parker. She is also survived by her siblings; Ned Brown, Lucille Cathy, and Ophelia Hudson, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Parker, children; Roosevelt, Melvin, Ora Lee (Parker) Thigpen, and daughter-in-law Sandra (Harvey) Parker, brothers Eugene Brown and Ernest Parker, sisters; Anna Mae Sager, Jessie Christian, and Estelle Smith. Private services for the family will be held.;
