Marie L. Ancinec

Marie L. Ancinec 79 of Racine passed away unexpectedly on Friday March 22, 2013 in her home. She was born May 1, 1933 in Racine the daughter of Vincent and Elizabeth (nee: Shimek) Ancinec. Marie was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School and had been employed with Northside Bank. She was a long time member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Brett Favre, gardening, spending time at her cottage on Lake Beulah, and boat rides. She especially loved to travel. Marie was also a member of the Sokel-Sokelize club. Survivors include her sister Jarmila (Robert) Skowera, nephews Mark, Adam (Geni), Paul, Michael, David, and Patrick (Stacy). She is further survived by great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Slav “John” Ancinec. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday March 27, 2013 at 6 p.m. in St. John Nepomuk Church 1903 Green St. Fr. Don Zerkel officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive guests in church on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the time of the Mass.
