Colecta R. Mireles, 87, passed away peacefully in Aurora Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday, October 18,2022. She was born March 6, 1935 in Big Wells, Tx., the daughter of Honorato and Juanita (Nee: Davila) Rodriguez. Colecta married John Mireles on September 25, 1954. An endearing housewife, Colecta enjoyed cooking and making tortillas. She enjoyed watching TV, especially her Mexican Soap Operas and loved watching her favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. She was a prankster and loved to scare the kids, she had a strong faith in the Catholic religion and enjoyed attending church as much as she could, but the most pleasure she got out of life was watching her grandchildren and great- children and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by her of husband of 68 years John, her six children, Graciela (Steve) Schoett, Mary Mireles-Cruz, Adeline (Sheady) Gomez, Juanita (Rickey) Roscizewski, Aurelia (Jim) Staven and Juan (Kristin) Mireles Jr., ten grandchildren, Nina, Jennacy, Amanda, Juan, Leticia, Santos, Brandon, Marjil, Isabella, Alexis, 11 Great grandchildren, Alina, Sienna, AJ, Sergio, Jacinda, Ryann, Paitynn, Santos Jr., Kayson, Rhiannen and Keaton, two sisters Cleo Padilla & Breatrize Espinosa, as well as many nieces, nephews relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, many brothers and sisters, as well as two brothers-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be for Colecta will be held on Friday, October 21,2022 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church (3126 95th St. Sturtevant, WI). The family will welcome guests on Thursday, October 20,2022 from 5:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M. in Strouf Funeral Home and again in St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church on Friday, October 21,2022 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Colecta was Always so sweet and loving to me and my husband Julian. I remember when I 1st found out I was pregnant with Monica I was so upset that I was pregnant and I was scared to tell my parents and dear Colecta Had encouraging words to help me out. We loved her we will miss her she was such a wonderful wonderful person. God has taken another angel from us. We will miss you dear lady we will miss you.

My deepest condolences to the Mireles family. I worked with Juan and was fortunate enough to get invited to a few gatherings at his parents’ home. Mrs. Mireles was always so nice and her warm hospitality always made me feel special. Qué descanse en paz!
