Rosemary S. Wightman, 91, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 with her children by her side. She was born on September 25, 1927 in St. Louis. Born the daughter of Joseph and Philomena (NEE: Sigmund) Schultz. She married the late Robert Wightman on May 10, 1947 in St. Louis. Rosemary loved music, gardening, dancing, enjoying the beautiful outdoors, reading, and watching old movies. Rosemary worked most of her life making a warm and loving home for her family. She had a real love of life and it affected everything that she did.  First raising her children and then working in the accounting department of Thorngate/Ivanhoe Club. Most of all she cherished her family and loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Rosemary will be deeply missed by her children Kathleen Lawler, Mary Wieland, Patricia (Thomas) Maggio, Joseph (DeAnne) Wightman, Diana (Jack) Schuett, Robert (Shari) Wightman, Barbara (Stephen) Garritson, Thomas (Kassie) Wightman, and Timothy (Lisa) Wightman. She will be dearly missed by her 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Philomena, husband Robert, who died on September 15, 2006, and son William.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 991 S. Waukegan Rd., Lake Forest, Illinois (old church). Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lake Forest, Illinois. Special thanks to Lakeshore at the Siena Center for their exceptional staff and care of Rosemary.
