Tyra Telisha Morlene Chambliss age 39, of Racine, WI passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 Aurora Medical Center Mount Pleasant, WI.  She was born in Racine, WI on May 25, 1985 to Virginia Chambliss and the late Larry L. Hamilton. Tyra attended JI Case High School and Gateway Technical College receiving her Nursing Assistant Certification.  After receiving her Nursing Assistant Certification Tyra spent many years working in the healthcare field. Tyra was a loving mother of two beautiful children, Dezharie Chambliss and Zoey Chambliss-Connor. Tyra enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also loved all things related to food and travel. She perfected the banana pudding pie recipe and made a mean Mac & Cheese.  Tyra loved her oldest brother Davon Chambliss and youngest brother Larry Jr. Hamilton dearly, and shared a special bond of sisterhood with her first cousins, Demeetrise “Dee” (nee: Chambliss) Ford, and Tanisha Chambliss. 

Left with her precious memories to cherish are her children: Dezharie Chambliss and Zoey Chambliss-Connor. Her mother Virginia Chambliss. Siblings: Oldest Brother Davon Chambliss, Sister-N-Law Evelyn Chambliss, Niece Noelle Chambliss, Nephew Nolan Chambliss, Youngest Brother Larry Jr. Hamilton. Aunts Gloria Chambliss, Linda Chambliss of Racine, WI, Diane Thomas of Alabama. Uncle Ira Chambliss & Sharon of Mississippi. Walter (Uncle Woody) Hamilton, Aunt Angie Hamilton of Racine, WI. Great Aunts Deicie (McLain) Ormond, Lottie McCarty, Lula (nee: Larkins) McLain. A host of cousins, and friends.

Tyra was preceded in death by her father, Larry L. Hamilton. Maternal Uncle Albert (Michael) Chambliss, Jr. Maternal grandparents Albert & Dorothy (nee: Ruffin) Chambliss. Maternal great aunts: Bernice Moore, Grace Redmond, Mollie (nee: Chambliss) Jones, Maternal Great Uncle Joe. Three maternal great uncles of  New York. Maternal great grandparents Willis Chambliss & Luella Nolan, and Howard & Lula (nee:Smith) Ruffin.  Funeral services for Tyra will be held on Friday, March 21,2025 at 12:00P.M. at Strouf Funeral Home in Racine. The family will receive guests in the funeral home on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. until the start of service. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
