Teddy Ray Marquardt,69, passed away on February 14,2024 at Oakridge Community Care Center in Union Grove WI. Ted had been a resident there for some time due to his mild stroke and ongoing battle with congestive heart failure combined with Parkinsons. Teddy was born on June,4,1954 at St Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee WI.
Ted enjoyed parashooting and had over 4 hours pilot training but couldn’t continue due to insurance issues. He also taught photography and small engine repair to the 4-H kids.
Ted helped with the landscaping at our home church. Helping plant many trees and bushes and maintenance until he was unable to do so anymore.
He was always willing to help others with moving needs and helping with vehicle repairs.
Ted worked as a computer tech for 27 years and helped others to learn about computers and prepare for their certification tests as well.
He enjoyed building moving paper models and crafts.
Ted enjoyed astronomy and taking pictures of the stars using his telescope and camera.
He was always working on some kind of project and he loved the outdoors, walking, biking and his weight bench.
Ted married Claudia Diane Smith on February 14,1999 at the Domes in Milwaukee, WI
Teddy is survived by 4 brothers, Carl [Alicia] Marquardt, Robert Marquardt, Larry [Sheryl] Marquardt, Scott[Jill] Marquardt, and one sister, Gayla[Richard] Hagan. He is also survived by 7 nephews and 6 nieces as well as 4 great nephews and 7 great nieces. Teddy is preceded in death by his father Carl Fredric Marquardt and his mother Lavada LaVelle Roberts Marquardt.
Funeral services will be held for Teddy on Thursday, February 22,2024 at Apostolic Faith Church, 3045Airline Rd, Racine, WI 53406 at 7:00 P.M. The family will receive guests at the church on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until the start of service. Burial will be private for family.
