Steven N. Gibney

Steven N. Gibney 59 passed away Wednesday morning February 26, 2014 in St. Catherine Medical Center in Kenosha following a hard fought battle with lung cancer. He was born November 10, 1954 in Elroy, Wisconsin the son of Earl F. and Georgetta W. (nee Shear) Gibney. Steve was employed in maintenance at St. Andrew Lutheran Church. He enjoyed all of the outdoors including camping, he deeply loved his children, and spoiling and taking his grandchildren to the park. He is survived by his children,Mary Rivera and Sherri Gibney, a step son Joshua Ellenberger, 6 grandchildren; Shyla Knuckles, Tyeray Knuckles, Jr., Kamony Day, Amya Martinez, Romeo Martinez, and Anthony Rivera, the love of his life, Vicki Ellenberger, a brother Carl Gibney and 3 sisters Tami Fanke, Mary Ahles and Gloria Gibney. Steve is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Connie Gibney, and three brothers Allen, Donald and David Gibney. Funeral services will be Monday March 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. in St. Andrew Lutheran Church 1015 Four Mile Road, Pastor Michael Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Elroy, WI. The family will receive guests in St. Andrew’s Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.;
