Luis Rey Gomez-Zuniga, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 28,2026 in Racine. He was born on January 6, 1993 in Mexico, the son of Victor and Antonia (Nee: Zuniga) Gomez Sr. After graduating Highschool, he was employed as a Factory worker. In Luis’s spare time he loved to play as well as watch softball. He was an avid Brewers and Packers fan and love to attend a game when he was able to. He loved to spend time and socialize with his family and friends.
Luis will be missed by his parents; Victor and Antonia Gomez, 1 brother Victor Gomez Jr., 2 sisters Adela Gomez, Rosaiesla Gomez, 2 nieces DaLisa & Romina, as well as other relatives and friends. Luis is preceded in death by his best friends Erasto Montes and Robert Rubio.
Funeral services for Luis will be held on Friday, February 6,2026 at 12:00 P.M. at Strouf Funeral Home in Racine. The family will receive guests in the Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until the start of service. Burial will follow at Old Holy Cross Cemetery on Kinzie Ave. in Racine.
