Katherine Joan Jaeck, 78, passed to her eternal life on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Aurora Medical Center, Mt. Pleasant. She was born April 19, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of James Roy and Mary Joan (Nee: Hardwood) Laundy. Katherine enjoyed cross stitching, baking, swimming, camping, and just really enjoyed the outdoors. She was an active member with her church. Most of all, loved spending time with her family and her many friends. Katherine will be deeply missed by her children Gillian (Brian Kraus) Jaeck and Tyler Jaeck, grandson James (Megan) Poplawski, two great grandchildren, sister Gretchen Smith and sister-n-law Phylliss Laundy along with nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Katherine was preceded in death by her brother Chris Laundy and her parents. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025 in Strouf Funeral Home, 1001 High Street. The family will receive guests in the funeral home on Saturday, October 18, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
