Joseph R. Sosa 84 went to be with the Lord, peacefully, Friday October 30, 2015 in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. He was born January 21, 1931 in San Antonio, TX the son of Jesus and Maria (nee:Ruiz) Sosa. Joe married Esperanza V. Valadez on June 20, 1953 in Racine. He was a 40 year employee of Corndorfer Construction Co. and proudly served his Country in the U.S. Navy. Joe was also a member of Word of Faith Christian Church. He was a member of the Cement Masons Local 846. Joe enjoyed gardening, woodworking, cooking, and was a Packers and Dallas fan. He most loved his family spending his time with them as much as possible.

Survivors include his loving wife Esperanza, 8 children; Pastor Manuel (Carol) Lozano, Albert (Virginia) Lozano, Linda (Robert) Gonzales, Stg. Major Joseph Sosa, Jr., Jesse (Terry) Sosa, John (Stephanie) Sosa, Lisa (Leonard) Velasquez, and Hopi Sosa, 27 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Jesse (Yolanda) Sosa, and Henry (Lupe) Sosa, 5 sisters; Mary Gonzalez, Lupe Anchando, Hope (Robert) Galvan, Esther (Ruben) Vela, and Virginia Sosa. Joe is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Adolfo.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 6 p.m. in Strouf Funeral Home, Pastor Manuel Lozano officiating. The family will greet guests on Wednesday from 3-6 p.m. in the funeral home. All are invited to gather on Thursday at the funeral home to have final viewing from 10-10:30 a.m. with a procession to Calvary Cemetery for burial at 11 a.m. Special thank you to Jesse, Henry, and Terry Sosa for their care of dad, Wheaton Franciscan ICU Staff, and the staff of the Fresenius Dialysis Medical Center.
