Irma Marie Petersen 94 passed away Friday afternoon November 29, 2013 in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center with her loving daughters at her side. She was born January 25, 1919 in Racine the daughter of Jens C. and Jenny (nee: Petersen) Petersen. Irma was a homemaker but also worked for Jacobson Manufacturing. She enjoyed puzzles, cards, and board games. Irma deeply loved her family and she loved being a grandma. Survivors include her two loving and caring daughters; Paulette (Robert) Iverson and Darlene (John) Crum, four grandchildren; Karen (Michael) Zielinski, Ben Crum, Katelyn Crum, and Nicole (Josh) Cook, 3 great grandchildren; Jacob Zielinski, and Colton and Harper Cook. Irma is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Ervin, Jack and Norman Petersen, and sisters Gertrude Lederhaus, Margaret Knutson, Edith Bauch, and Gladys Carroll. Funeral Services will be Wednesday December 4, 2013 at 11 am in Strouf Funeral Home, Pastor Nathan Pope officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive guests in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of services.;
