Harvey Edgar Nowak, 88, passed away at The Manor of Kenosha on Sunday, August 29, 2021.  Harvey was born in Racine on March 23, 1933, the son of Edgar Hilbert and Lucille (Nee: Weber) Nowak.  In 1955 he married Sherrill A. Rauwerda at the 1st Reformed Church in Racine. Sherrill passed away July 14, 1962. On June 16, 1963 Harvey married Norma J. McTrusty and she passed away on December 26, 1984. Harvey attended the Draught School in Wind Lake.  He retired in August, 1995 after working many years as a machinist for the Racine Railroad.  Harvey was very handy; he enjoyed to do electrical work part-time on the side.  He truly embodied Mr. Fix-It.  Once upon a time he had his own business “Nowak Appliance & Repair” where he made sure the job was done right the first time.  Harvey will be deeply missed by his three daughters Robin Sorenson,  Jeri (Darrell) Gister and Kelli (Jeffrey) Beaton, along with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He will dearly missed by and two brothers Keith (Pauline) Nowak and John Nowak, and sister-in-law Mickey Nowak. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Harvey was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Lucille, wives Sherill and Norma, brothers James (Elsie) Nowak and Edgar Nowak, sister Sandra Megerle, and great-granddaughter Paige. Private Family Services were held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 per the wishes of Harvey.
