Dolores Nicholls, 75, of Racine, passed away on Friday, December 21st, 2018 in Ascension All Saints Hospital. She was born on December 7th, 1943, in Harlingen, Texas, the daughter of Jesus M. Cantu and Antonia Rangel. She married David Nicholls on June 24th, 1983 in Houston, Texas. Dolores loved to read, to attend church, and volunteer at church. She will be missed deeply by her husband David and four children Maria Theresa Carbajal, Sandra (David) Marweg, Peter (Misty) Carbajal, and Kathleen (Tod) Kerscher. Dolores will be missed by her 11 grandchildren Jessica (Brian) Wisniewski, Ryan (Erin) Carbajal, Jarritt (Ashley) Carbajal, Andrew (Araceli) Marweg, David (Helen) Marweg, Daniel (Brianna) Carbajal, Dominique Sweetman, Madeleine Carbajal, Julian Carbajal, Presley Carbajal, and Mia Carbajal, as well as 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way. She will be missed by siblings Maria Guadalupe (Crescencio) Carbajal, Rosenda Lopez, Ramon (Herminia) Cantu, Maria Herlinda Hanley, Jesus Nieto Cantu Jr., San Juana Cantu, Jose Santiago (Janie Cantu), and Evangelina (Ben) Beraza. Dolores is survived by many nieces, nephew, relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Jesus M. Cantu and Antonia Rangel, 1 son Daniel M. Carbajal, 1 grandson Nicholas Sweetman, 2 sisters Josefa Galvan and Maria Cantu, and 2 nephews Mario Carbajal and Christopher Carbajal. Services for Dolores will be held on Friday, December 28th, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church (3101 Drexel Avenue). The family will receive guests on Friday, December 28th, 2018 at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to “The Lupus Foundation of America”.

I am so sorry to hear of Delores passing. She was always so helpful at all the many events that I was involved in at St. Edward’s She was such a sweet lady. She will be missed.
