Delbert E. Parker “Pops” 89, of Racine, WI passed away peacefully in his bed at home on Saturday, October 27,2018. Born in Los Angeles California, December 27, 1928 the son of Everett and Pauline (Nee:Pinson) Parker. Delbert enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1949 and retired as a Sergeant in 1970 after serving 21 years. While in the Air Force, Delbert was not only a wiring technician but also an instructor that worked on and taught others how to work on B-52 and B-58. Delbert loved talking about the good old days and sharing stories about his life and all the experiences he had, some of those stories would make some people blush, and if they didn’t blush they for sure would smile and laugh and want to hear more. Delbert very much loved his family and his dogs, if the pups were not laying on his lap or next to him in bed they were right at his feet snuggling as he watched his old romance shows and movies. He was a hopeless romantic at heart even though looking at him you may never have guessed it. Delbert enjoyed a little gambling and you might have caught him eating tamales with a bowl of chili for breakfast. He will be greatly missed by all that had the chance to know him especially his family, sister, Darlene Fragale, children, Debbie (Mike) Enders, Dale (Carol Bjornson) Parker, Doug Parker, and Danny Parker, step children, Linda and Robynn; grandchildren, John Scott, Robert, Desaray, Crystal, and Raymond; great grandchildren, Evan, Alex, Katie, Maddie, Samuel, Eric, Abigail, Gavin, Liam, Kayla, Cali, and Derek, and very close friend and neighbor Laura Kay. We are so sorry for your loss. When this happens in our family we need more than human strength. God and his Son can provide what we need. Please review these scriptures : John 5:28-29 “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.”
Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
