Camilo Lechuga-Cruz, 68, passed away in his home on Sunday, January 21, 2024. Camilo was born in Mexico, the son of Crespin Huizar Cruz and Maria Lechuga. He was married to Maria Jauregui. Camilo was a very energetic and caring person, plus a hard worker. Even after he retired as a grinder he continued to work. Camilo was known as a jokester, but always put others first before himself. Camilo will be deeply missed by his wife Maria, his daughter Erica Cruz and his four sons Sergio Cruz, Juan Cruz, Andes Cruz and Rigoberto Cruz. He will also be missed by his two grandsons Lucas Dettmann and Roman Dettmann and Juan Camilo Cruz (who is yet to be born). He will also be missed by his 3 sisters and 2 brothers and his closet cousins Modesto Cruz, Juana Galvez and Alejandra Cruz along with nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Camilo was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1100 Erie Street at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive guests on Friday, January 26, 2024 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
