Brenda Jean Davis (née George) originally Brenda Jean George, age 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital at St. Francis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Born on May 30, 1953, in the South Bronx of New York, Brenda was the beloved daughter of Roger and Thelma (Nee: Lipson) Cobb. From the very beginning, she carried a strong spirit, a deep passion for life, and a presence that filled every room she entered. Brenda was a woman of heart, resilience, and unmistakable personality — someone you didn’t forget once you met her. Her family will forever remember her as a passionate, loving, and remarkable woman whose strength and warmth shaped generations. She loved fiercely, laughed deeply, and left an imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her absence will be felt profoundly, but her legacy will live on through the many lives she touched. Brenda is survived by her three children: George Lopez (Janice Grassel), Christopher Mayo, and Ariana Towns (Theodore Towns). She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Jamilette Santos, Kneyana Simmons, Jazmine Mayo, Izabella Mayo, Alijah Simmons, Koron Campbell, and Addisyn Mayo; and a devoted great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren: Mailani, Kilianna, Azariah, Ariyah, and Ahvyana. She is also survived by her siblings: Bill George (Kathy), Laura Crawford, Stacy George (Scott Nichols), and Michael Lipson (Akiko); her son-in-law Randall Wright; and many cherished nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends — especially her dear and longtime best friend, Nicole Stolz. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Thelma Cobb; her husbands, Jose and Greg; her beloved daughter, Amanda Garcia; and her niece, Frances George. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU team at Aurora Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant and to the compassionate staff at Select Specialty Hospital at St. Francis in Milwaukee for their care and kindness. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at a later date, with details to be shared by the family.
