Maria Garcia Zauza, 84, of Racine, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 in her home. Maria was born in Mexico on August 10, 1934 to Tranquilino and Vicenta (Nee: Zauza) Garcia. She was married to the late Manuel Rodriguez who passed away on February 9, 1997. Maria loved her jokes, loved dancing and loud music, but especially loved to celebrate her birthdays. Her favorite passion was taking care of her family, who called her “Mia”. Maria will be deeply missed by her 9 children, Manuel Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriquez, Jose Luis Rodriguez, Rogelio Rodriguez, Guillermo Moyeda, Arthuro Moyeda, Mara Moyeda, Yolanda Rodriguez and Leticia Garcia as well as 29 grandchildren, and 1 special granddaughter Claudia Garcia and special grandson Luis Rodriguez, many great and great-great grandchildren along with other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Manuel and 1 son Raul Rodriguez. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1111 Erie Street. The family will receive guests at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Father Antony Thomas officiating.
