Leo J. Gister III, 71, passed away May 7, 2016 in Becker Shoop Care Center. He was born in Racine, August 2, 1944 the son of Leo J. and Pearl Marie (Nee: Anderson) Gister. Leo loved painting, family cookouts and having a Jack and Coke when he could. He also enjoyed spending time with his great nieces and nephews. Survivors include his 7 sisters Bonnie, Sandy (Wendal), Marie (Larry), Christine,Karen, Denise (Kermit), and Shelly along with 2 brothers Darrell (Jeri) and Jeff (Sue). Leo is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, 1 sister Barb and 1 brother Ronald “Butch”. A memorial service will be held in Strouf Funeral Home Saturday May 14, 2016 at 11:30 am. The family will receive guests in the funeral home, May 14, 2016 from 11 am until the time of service. Deacon Steve Kramer officiating. Burial will be private for the family.
