Willie Yancey Cannon Jr., born April 27, 1961, in Chicago, IL, passed away on August 30th, 2024, in Racine, WI. Affectionately known as Will, he was a charismatic and charming individual whose laughter and warmth illuminated the lives of those around him.  Willie was a dedicated father to his two daughters, Alicia (Cannon) Dallas-Peebles and Shara Cannon, and a proud grandfather to Tioni Dallas. His family was his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Will’s humor was a defining feature of his personality, famously saying, “When I see food, I eat it,” a nod to his love of seafood.  An avid sports fan with a special passion for basketball, Willie shared his enthusiasm with friends and family alike. His infectious smile and vibrant personality ensured that his presence was always a source of joy. He is survived by his mother, Velma Joe (Knox) Cannon; his sisters Patricia (James) Walls of Smyrna, TN, and Ladoris Corbin of LaVergne, TN; and his brother Vincent Cannon of Racine, WI. along with a host of nieces and nephews. They will treasure the many memories they made together.  Willie, a Christian at heart, lived his life with positivity, touching everyone he met with his loving spirit and humor. His legacy of laughter and love will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Yancey Cannon Sr., and his sister Evangeline Esho. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held October 12, 2024 from 12 noon until 3:00 p.m. at Infusino’s Banquet Hall 3201 Rapids Drive, Racine.
