Veronica Lydia Raya, 34, of Racine, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 1, 1987, in Illinois, the daughter of Ofelio Raya and Anna Maria Herrera. Veronica was very into fashion; she loved shopping and styling. She enjoyed going on trips with her children, and hanging out with family and friends. More than anything she was very family oriented; she lived for her children; they were her entire world. Veronica will be deeply missed by children Yalena, Elianna, and Aydan. She will be dearly missed by her siblings Angelica (Zeena) Raya, Corrine Ramirez, and Alfredo Raya. She will be missed by her partner Javier Estrada, and best friend Trishell Lovelace. Veronica is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends. Veronica is preceded in death by her parents Ofelio and Anna Maria, and brother Santiago. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church (1100 Erie Street) at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Mass will be streamed live on “Strouf Funeral Home” facebook page time accordingly. Masks are required per entry into church with limited capacity due to COVID-19. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to her children.
