Lauretta Mae Calvi, 85, of Racine passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in The Villa at Lincoln Park. She was born February 26, 1932, the daughter of Stephen and Eleanore (Nee: Goodwin) Banfield. A teacher’s assistant in child care, Lauretta loved to read, being outside enjoying walks and nature. She had a great passion for all sorts of crafts especially decorating Easter eggs. Lauretta loved her coffee and butter but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her four children Mary Lynn Langenfeld, Lawrence Calvi, Michael (Kimberly) Calvi and Virginia Bower along with her four grandchildren Eric Calvi, Katie (Adam) Kimmel, Amy (Orlando) Malate and Jenna Calvi. She is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lauretta was preceded in death by her husband Frank, parents Stephen and Eleanore along with two brothers Jerome and William Banfield and one sister Inez Dedo. Other family members who have passed before her include her In-Laws Baptist and Arla Calvi and Son-in Laws William Bower and Lester Langenfeld. Private family services and burial were held for Lauretta upon her wishes.
