John Francisco Lopez Sr., 69, of Racine, passed away on December 25, 2021, at home. He was born on April 23, 1952, born the son of Francisco and Maria (Nee: Rodriguez) Lopez. He married Elaine Dehne in May of 1992. John worked for Chrysler Automotive for many years up until his retirement in 2012. John liked to work on cars and visit his son at the body shop. He enjoyed listening to Tejano music. John will be deeply missed by his wife Elaine, parents Francisco and Maria, children Elisa (Dan) Bishop and Juan (Marilyn) Lopez, as well as stepchildren Kimberly Wright, Kevin (Jennifer) Wright, and Diana (Bill Buchmann) Wright. He will be dearly missed by grandchildren Samantha (Jordan) Cooper, Sondra Moll, Alexa (Chris) Fournier, Joseph Moll Jr., Brianna Lopez, Jeremiah Moll, Alyssa Lopez, Daniel Bishop, Natalia Bishop, Isaac Lopez, Amalia Lopez, Ryan Kemp, Jacob Kemp, Mitchell Kemp, Karen, Matt, and Kaitlyn, as well as great-grandchildren Alesondro Fournier, Sammuel Ramirez, Alianna Fournier, Adelaide Cooper, Christiano Fournier, Luciano Moll, Jordan Cooper, Xandra Hernandez, Alaia, Alayah, and Myles. He is survived by his sister Sara Morales. John is preceded in death by his sister Sandy and stepsons Daniel, Michael, and Brian Kemp. A memorial Mass will for John will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at 11 a.m. (1100 Erie St.)
My prayers and thoughts are with the family. I loved visiting with him when he visited his son’s body shop. I have a place near there where I have tinkered on cars. He was always friendly and pleasant. May the Lord of the resurrection give comfort, strength, and peace to the family.
