Antonio M. Goodwin, affectionately known as “T-Good,” or “Tony” was born on July 30, 1969, in Magee, Mississippi to John and Shirley Goodwin. He was a proud graduate of Washington Park High School. Tony went on to earn his certification in Mechanical Maintenance Technology from Gateway Technical College. This accomplishment led him to a successful career working in various factories, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Throughout the years, Tony also held many roles in the retail industry and became widely known on the South Side for his work in automotive window tinting — earning the nickname “The Tint Man.” His passion for his craft and his community made him a well-loved figure among those who knew him. Tony took great pride in being a devoted son to his father, John Goodwin, and in his role as a father to his children, Amethyst (Deonte) Goodwin and Armani Goodwin. He was a cherished grandfather to Dezoryon, Dekyrie, and Demani Westmoreland — a role he deeply valued and embraced with love. As the only brother to his sisters — Vanessa Dumas (Enterprise, Mississippi), Antionette and Karen Goodwin (Racine, Wisconsin), Tony was a protective and caring sibling. He was also a beloved uncle to Kalondya, Amber, D’Iran, Aaron, Kayton and Addison Dumas, Kasant Wilkerson II, and Karl McNeil II, and a great-uncle to Kylan, Braxsten, Messiah, and Mason Dumas. Tony shared many meaningful years with his special friend and former wife, Noelle Goodwin. His life was enriched by the love and support of his extended family, including his cherished aunts and uncles: Mary Floyd, Carol (David) Showers, WC (Vernice) Floyd, Kent Floyd, Shirley Oliver, Betty and Benny Goodwin. Tony is preceded in death by his loving mother Shirley Goodwin, Grandson Princeton Westmoreland, Grandparents: CW & Savannah “SJ” Floyd, Dave & Alice Goodwin and a host of other relatives. His Legacy lives in the hearts of a host of relatives, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, infectious smile, and unwavering love for his family.

So sorry for your loss. Our sincere condolences to the Goodwin family.
Karen & Cherelle,
Since hearing about Tony’s passing, I’ve been sitting with a heavy heart — full of sorrow, but also full of the best memories. I know now just how lucky I was to have had someone like Tony in my life.
He wasn’t just a childhood friend — he was part of the fabric of who I was growing up.
Tony will always be one of the people I think of when I remember the best parts of my childhood. He was truly one of my “Day 1’s.”
Growing up with you all on Villa Street , it really did feel like we were one big family. There was this unspoken closeness that just made sense. I’ll never forget how Tony was allowed to come into my grandma’s house and wait for me and Nikki. And if you knew my grandmother, you know that meant something. That was her quiet stamp of approval — and Tony had it.
He had this way about him — just his presence made me feel safe, seen, and never alone.
I’ve been thinking of you all so much. I can’t imagine the pain you’re feeling, but I hope you know how much me and my family loved Tony, and always will.
I’m holding you close in my heart and praying for peace, comfort, and strength in every day ahead.
With all my love and support ,
Kelly Robinson
