Racine – Paul E. LaBucki, age 79, passed away at his residence on November 1, 2026. Born in Milwaukee on February 28, 1947, Paul spent most of his life cherishing his Wisconsin roots and community.
He dedicated over 20 years to Wisconsin Electric, working as a customer service representative with commitment and care. After retiring from the electric company, he continued his passion for helping others by serving as a substitute teacher in the Racine Unified School District for six years. During that time, many students fondly called him “Mr. Paul,” a testament to the connections and impact he made.
An avid fisherman, Paul enjoyed spending time on lakes, streams, and rivers across Wisconsin. He took particular pride in surf fishing during trips to Florida. His love for fishing and craftsmanship led him to restore two old fishing boats, which he generously donated to the Boys Ranch in New London, Wisconsin, helping to inspire future generations.
Paul was also a talented cook with a special knack for baking. He won a local cheesecake baking contest and was even featured in the Journal Times for his delicious creation.
Paul’s kindness, generosity, and zest for life touched many. He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his former wife, Patricia LaBucki.
Patricia would like to extend a special thank you to Paul’s dear friend and caregiver, Patti Clemon, for the 11 years of wonderful care given to Paul.
Private services will be held at a later date.
