Vaughn Scott Johnson Sr., 75, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. A life long resident of Racine, he was born at St. Luke’s Hospital, Racine on January 1,1950, the son of the late Howard and Sylvia (Nee:Larentzos) Johnson. Vaughn worked at various jobs throughout his career, including Belle City Foundry, Great Lakes Drag Way and as a security guard for an auto auction. In his free time, Vaughn loved the outdoors, whether he was taking road trips, boating or having a bonfire, he enjoyed every minute of it. He had a passion for cars, listening to music and enjoying a Miller beer. Vaughn was a hard worker who never missed a day of work. He was a very determined man and a great provider for his family, instilling his values and morals daily. He will be deeply missed by his children, Steven (Jeanne) Beal, Vaughn (Melanie Jackson) Johnson Jr., Howard (Bianca) Johnson-Ortiz, Eric (Elizabeth) Johnson, Warren Johnson and his lifelong partner Robin Peterson. He will also be missed by his eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, as well as nieces , nephews, relatives, and friends. Vaughn is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Sylvia, and his three brothers, Peter Johnson, George Johnson and Charlie Johnson. Services to honor Vaughn’s life will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in Strouf Funeral Home in Racine. The family will receive guests in the funeral home on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. until the start of service. The family of Vaughn Johnson extends their deepest gratitude to the Racine Fire Department for all the help they gave to their father.
Have’nt seen you in many years, our lives were full of experiences which I will not forget.
