Rosalia Cruz-Velez, 79, of Racine, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Franciscan Villa in South Milwaukee. She was born on September 4, 1942 in Puerto Rico. Born the daughter of Enrique and Genara (Nee: Velez) Cruz. Rosalia liked to listen to music and dance. She was very religious and loved to go to church. Rosalia will be dearly missed by her children Esmeralda (Arnaldo) Badilla, Lourdes Acevedo, Myriam (Jose Luis) Acevedo, Yolanda (Ramon) Acevedo, Carlos (Mariselys) Acevedo, and Luis Enrique Acevedo. She will be deeply missed by grandchildren Marishka, Dayanara, Amdaleska, Karina, Albert, Arnaldo, Christian, Yarelix, Keishra, Nathanael, Rosana, Gabriel, Mya, and Nya, as well as twenty great-grandchildren. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Rosalia is preceded in death by her parents Enrique and Genara, sisters Ana Alicia, Ana Mericia Cruz, and brother Florentino Acevedo. Funeral Services for Rosalia will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Strouf Funeral Home at 12 p.m. The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
