Daniel Robert Bednar, 47, of Racine, passed away on August 1, 2019 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. Daniel was born on October 11, 1971 in Racine. Born the son of James and Mary (NEE: Kerkman) Bednar. Dan’s number one priority was his family. He was caring and loving, and wanted everyone around him to be happy. He was generous and self-less; he would give the shirt off of his back to help another. He was a big music fan and enjoyed all genres. He liked all kinds of sports and he loved watching the Packer’s play. Daniel will be deeply missed by his wife Melissa Jean (NEE: Wargolet) Bednar and son Daniel James Bednar. He will be dearly missed by his parents James Bednar and Mary Kerkman, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends. Daniel is preceded in death by his grandparents, uncle Jack whom he was very close with, and Moe his black lab/boxer mix whom was his best buddy. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Strouf Funeral Home at 3 p.m. The family will receive guests on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
