Jesus H. Gonzalez, 78, of Racine passed away Thursday August 18,2016 in Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Hospital. He was born October 25, 1937 in Inchamacuaro GTO Mexico, the son of Rafael and Soledad (Nee: Heredia) Gonzalez. Jesus was a welder at Racine Steel Casting and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. During his younger years he loved having his friends over to enjoy a beer, play cards and go fishing. He loved to watch soccer and his favorite T.V. show “Sabado Gigante”. Jesus enjoyed eating roasted corn, dancing and listen to music. Whenever he went out, Jesus had his Sombrero on. He enjoyed celebrating his birthday by telling everybody what he wanted to eat on his special day. After retiring Jesus enjoyed working in the farmlands when he was able to get back to his home land of Mexico. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 55 years Consuelo, 6 daughters Martha (Roque) Soto, Carmen (Samuel) Sanchez, Maria De Jesus (Pascual) Antonio, Raquel (Marcelino) Perez and Rosaysela (Anselmo) Lopez. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sons and 2 daughters and his favorite horse Alason. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday August 24, 2016 in St. Patrick Catholic Church 1100 Erie St., Racine at 10:30 am. Father Antony Thomas officiating. The family will receive guests in church on Wednesday August 24, 2016 from 10 am until the time of service and Tuesday evening August 23, 2016 from 5-8 pm. Burial will follow funeral services on Wednesday in Graceland Cemetery
