Helen Alice Gronholm, 87, passed away Thursday, May 24th, 2018 at Ascension All Saints. She was born September 9th, 1930 in Ashland, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Helen (NEE: Peterson) Greene. She married Kosti Gronholm in October of 1947. Helen was a housewife and homemaker throughout her life. She loved to knit, crochet, sew, build jigsaw puzzles, and bird watch. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Helen will be deeply missed by her 9 children Shirley Gronholm, Darlene (Billy) Bowen, Clifford (Donna) Gronholm, Gerald Gronholm, Bill (Kathy) Gronholm, Mark (Annette) Gronholm, Sandi (Gordy) Starkey, Marvin (Beth) Gronholm, and Douglas (Dan Mahoney) Gronholm. She will also be missed by her 6 siblings Margaret Goodwin, Dorothy Anderson, Irene Piff, John Greene, Alvin Greene, and Richard Greene. She is survived by many grand, great grand, and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Helen, her husband Kosti, her daughter Linda Allen, several brothers, and a sister. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 30th, 2018 at 11 A.M. (Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 S. Green Bay Rd., Mt. Pleasant, WI 5340). The family will receive guests from 10 A.M. until time of service at the church. Burial is private for the family. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
