Gloria Barbosa, 73, of Racine, passed away Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018 at her residence. She was born September 20th, 1944 in Matamoros, Ohio, the daughter of Pablo and Aurelia (NEE: Alvarez) Orta. Gloria married Pedro Barbosa Sr. on September 25th, 1965 in Racine, Wisconsin. She was a housewife and homemaker for many years. She will be deeply missed by her husband Pedro Barbosa Sr. Gloria will be missed by her children Tony Barbosa, Raquel (Robert) Battle, and Pedro Barbosa Jr. She will also be missed her grandchildren Christina McCarthy, Samantha Ann (Michael) Badillo, Enrique “Sonny” (Becky) Carranza, Elijah R. Battle, and great grandchildren LaCrysta Badillo, Ariana Badillo, and Aaliyah L. Carranza. Gloria will be missed by her siblings Diana (Ramiro) Delgado, Daniel (Carmen) Orta, and Armando (Nancy) Orta. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents Pablo and Aurelia Orta, and siblings David Orta, Alice Orta, Rachel Orta, and Hope Orta. Memorial services will be held for Gloria on Saturday, July 21st, 2018 at 1st Baptist Church in Racine, Wisconsin (3117 Lathrop Avenue) at 7 p.m. The family will receive guests from 5 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be private for the family per Gloria’s wishes.
